Brussels asks Hungary for information on voucher system
The European Commission has asked Hungarian authorities for information on the country's new voucher system, daily Népszabadság said on Thursday, citing unnamed sources in Brussels.
The Commission is turning to the Hungarian authorities after receiving complaints from market players who allege the new "Erzsébet" voucher system is discriminative because it excludes multinational supermarket chains from the places the vouchers are accepted, the paper said.
