Fourth tender to sell assets of solar cell maker unsuccessful - paper
The fourth attempt to sell the assets of solar cell maker HelioGrid Magyarország (Rétság, N Hungary) has been declared unsuccessful, and it is now certain that solar cell production will not be resumed at the plant, business daily Napi Gazdaság said on Thursday.
Liquidator Miklós Balázs told the paper that the fourth tender proved unsuccessful although there were several interested applicants and negotiations were held as well, with foreign and Hungarian companies, but finally none of these submitted a bid.
The property housing the plant is owned by TDK, HelioGrid was only leasing it, and will now remain owned by TDK.
The liquidator will go on to sell the moveable assets, estimated to be worth HUF 40m-50m, the paper said.
The plant employed 36 workers before the liquidation began.
