Skanska is investing around EUR 29 million in the third phase of the Nordic Light office complex. Located in the 13th district of Budapest, with a total leasable area of 14,000 square meters, the project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.
Skanskaʼs Nordic Light office complex, which is already operating, was designed by Paulinyi-Reith & Partners. The first two phases, totaling 26,200 sqm, were delivered in 2016. Skanskaʼs Nordic Light Trio is designed to meet the WELL Building Standard, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
"Skanska’s projects are created with the next-generation occupier in mind. Innovative and sustainable solutions are the key focus of each Skanska development, to meet today’s and tomorrow’s office workers’ demand," says Marcin Łapiński, managing director of Skanska Property Hungary. "Employee wellbeing was also at the forefront when designing Nordic Light Trio, and this will be our first office project in Hungary to receive WELL certification."
The building will feature a 2,400 sqm fully landscaped garden, which is open to the public as well, alongside bicycle storage facilities with lockers, dedicated changing rooms and showers, and parking for electric cars with charging stations.
Employees can also access their offices with phones, with the help of an "all-in-one Building App," according to the press release. The application will allow entry to the garage with license plate recognition, and also enables the creation of a virtual QR pass for visitors. In addition, the app encourages sustainable initiatives such as ride sharing.
The project is located on the Váci Corridor, in the proximity of Árpád bridge, metro line M3, and other forms of public transport.
