Rail Cargo moves to almost fully let Nordic Light
Nordic Light’s occupancy rate has reached 98% with Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt., part of Europe’s second largest rail forwarding company, having signed to move some of its divisions to the building, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal.
The regional logistics player rented 1,250 sqm, meaning the building is almost fully leased just eight months after it was handed over.
Nordic Light holds a special spot in Budapest due to its exciting LED light facade – representing the natural phenomenon of the Northern Light. The features and technologies applied in the building - a landscaped interior courtyard, green terraces, bicycle storage facilities, locker rooms and showers for cyclists as well as various energy efficient solutions - are proof of Skanskaʼs commitment to timeless, environmental friendly and healthy workplaces, the developer says.
Skanska believe its long-term commitment to futureproof workplaces and care for the end-user is paying off, as it says it was the well-being aspects of Nordic Light that caught the attention of Rail Cargo.
“We warmly welcome Rail Cargo’s team in Nordic Light, the most recent futureproof office project developed by Skanska,” says Marcin Łapiński, managing director of Skanska Property Hungary and Romania. “Our way of creating office complexes is based on the needs of our tenants and follows the ʼWorkplaces by Skanska Concept’, which focuses on areas that best describe our added value – work environment, placemaking, tenant profitability and green solutions. I am sure that Rail Cargo’s team will enjoy all aspects of their new HQ, including the outdoor green garden as well as the fifth floor terrace with an attractive view,” he adds.
In moving to Nordic Light, Rail Cargo Hungary will gain access to a bunch of cool services ensuring the productivity and satisfaction of its employees, Skanska adds. Thanks to the location of the office, services like a fitness facility, a post office, a pharmacy, and a bank are also close by.
The building – sold last year – seems to be very hot at the moment, as another client has just recently signed a quite similar contract for about 1,400 sqm of office space. Rail Cargo Hungaria Zrt., a member of Rail Cargo Group, Europe’s second largest rail forwarding company will join companies in the building such as Mercedes-Benz, Schneider Electric, Cofidis, Harman, BASF and Monsanto.
