Prior to the foundation stone being laid for Promenade Gardens, a new large-scale, sustainable office building on Váci út, a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal today announced that Celanese Hungary Ltd. will set up its 4,200 square-meter headquarters in the building from April 2018. Colliers International has been assigned the tenant representation mandate.

International company Celaneseʼs regional financial and logistics business service center will be located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the four-tower building in cores B, C and D.

For the tenant, various features of the building were deemed primary factors, including the innovative and sustainable technical solutions, comfortable, user-friendly spaces, flexible expansion possibilities and financial conditions, the press statement said.

“I am proud that beyond the usual financial considerations we also had a chance to put emphasis on our employees’ needs. It is also extremely reassuring for me that our preferred office solution, Promenade Gardens, is located on Váci út, an area our colleagues have become familiar with during the last decade,” said Mike Jackson, Vice President, Shared Services Europe at Celanese.

“We wholeheartedly welcome the Business Services Center of Celanese Corporation, which will continue to support the financial and logistics processes of the company’s North American, European and Asian subsidiaries from our Promenade Gardens building,” said Attila Kovács MRICS, managing partner of the project developer Horizon Development.

“During our cooperation we highlighted those integrated corporate solutions that - beyond what’s common practice during classic transaction processes - put the real needs of employees at the forefront. It was a pleasure to see the dedicated leadership of Celanese Hungary actively participating in this ʼWorkplace Solutionsʼ process,” said Kata Mazsaroff, Director, Head of Occupier Services at Colliers International.

The Promenade Gardens office building, offering office solutions on five floors and 25,000 sqm, will be completed at the end of 2017, with a move-in date of Q1 2018 for tenants. Some 20,000 sqm of leasable retail and office space is still available for lease.
