Office Market

Váci Corner office building, developed by the Hungarian subsidiary of HB Reavis real estate development company, won the BREEAM “Excellent” classification and became the first Hungarian office building to achieve this recognition, the company announced in a press release today.

According to the press release, the BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) is one of the most widely used building rating systems in the field of environmental engineering. “Excellent” is the second-best rating given under the BREEAM system – with “Outstanding” being the best rating.

“The classification is the evidence that our company is prominently involved in sustainable solutions,” said Zoltán Radnóty, chief executive officer at HB Reavis Hungary. According to Radnóty, HB Reavis tried to build an office building that provides ideal conditions for tenants and minimizes the harmful effects on the environment.

The report noted that in the Váci Corner office building, the annual energy consumption of elevators is 50% less than the energy consumption of traditional elevators. The building also provides electric car charging stations and its heating system does not contribute to the pollution of the capital.
