Refugees are being bused from Croatia back to Hungary, through the border crossing of Beremend, and Hungarian buses have apparently been arranged to carry the refugees to unknown locations, local online daily index.hu reported today.

A video posted by index.hu shows refugees disembarking from Croatian buses in Hungary and being guided by the police to buses marked “transit line” in Hungarian. The video shows refugees boarding these Hungarian buses.

Hungarian online daily origo.hu reported that two buses left Beremend, in southern Hungary, and one is going towards Harkány in Hungary, while the other is going towards Budapest.

Aside from that report, there was no information about where refugees are being bused – or about how many refugees would be bused from Croatia.

On Tuesday, Croatia announced it would welcome refugees, but after more than 14,000 refugees arrived in the country in less than three days, Croatia closed its Serbian borders today, and said it cannot take any more refugees for the time being, according to reports.

SUPPORT THE BUDAPEST BUSINESS JOURNAL

Producing journalism that is worthy of the name is a costly business. For 27 years, the publishers, editors and reporters of the Budapest Business Journal have striven to bring you business news that works, information that you can trust, that is factual, accurate and presented without fear or favor.
Newspaper organizations across the globe have struggled to find a business model that allows them to continue to excel, without compromising their ability to perform. Most recently, some have experimented with the idea of involving their most important stakeholders, their readers.
We would like to offer that same opportunity to our readers. We would like to invite you to help us deliver the quality business journalism you require. Hit our Support the BBJ button and you can choose the how much and how often you send us your contributions.
