Tax authority suspends twice as many tax numbers last year for failure to report

Issues

Last year, Hungary’s National Tax and Customs Office (NAV) suspended the tax numbers of 77,643 companies - 15% of the total that are operating - more than twice the 32,000 in 2010, as NAV enforced a rule requiring publication of business results, company monitoring website feketelista.hu told MTI.

NAV may suspend the tax numbers of companies that fail to publish their business results as required.

If companies do not publish the results within 60 days of the suspension, NAV may initiate their termination with the Company Court.
