PSzÁF denies intention to influence supreme court
The Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority (PSzÁF) rejects allegations that it attempted to influence the court when, in a letter sent on Tuesday to Kúria, Hungary's supreme court, PSzÁF President Károly Szász warned of the possible economic and social impacts of court sentences related to foreign-currency loans, PSzÁF announced on its website on Thursday. PSzÁF said that the letter was compatible with the authority's mission of expressing its legal and professional opinion regarding the provision of financial services. PSzÁF noted that the Kúria had asked the authority for its opinion on legal proceedings related to foreign-currency loans.
