PMʼs Office clarifies Lázár statement on minimum wage rise
The Prime Ministerʼs Office, which is lead by minister János Lázár, said today that a decision on a possible minimum wage rise next year is expected to be addressed by a forum of employers and unions in December, Hungarian news agency MTI reported today.
The clarification from the PM’s Office came soon after Lázár said yesterday at his regular weekly press conference that he expects the minimum wage to rise by 5.5%. Unions association MSZSZ said after the press conference that the 5.5% increase Lázár referred to could be the starting point for negotiations, although it aims to achieve a 9% rise, MTI added.
