Hungary, Moldova sign cultural cooperation agreement

Péter Hoppál, Hungary’s Ministry of Human Capacities state secretary responsible for culture, and Moldavian cultural minister Monica Babuc today signed a cooperation agreement in Budapest in the field of culture, according to a press release.

Under the agreement, the two parties will work together on invigorating cultural cooperation between the two countries, with a special focus on literature and film, according to the statement. 

Hungary believes it is important to extend the cooperation into research in archives, with a special focus on World War II and material related to the events of the 1956 Uprising in Hungary, the press release added. Babuc welcomed the possibility of further extending cooperation between the two countries.
