Hungary, India discuss defense, farming, film, innovation

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Indian Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari met in Parliament yesterday, mentioning defense, farming, film and innovation as areas in which Hungary and India cooperate, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

Orbán said a technology working group would be established to forge ties between the two countries in areas of innovation. He added that a delegation of Hungarian film industry insiders would soon visit India.

Orbán noted that India was the biggest greenfield investor in Hungaryʼs industrial sector in 2014-2015 and the country plans further investments in future.

A declaration of intent was signed with Indiaʼs ministry in charge of the rejuvenation of the Ganges River during the vice presidentʼs visit.
