Ukraine to borrow $2-3 bln internationally over 5 years
Ukraine plans over the next five years to borrow $2.5 billion - $3 billion from international financial institutions annually, the Economy Ministry said.
Several projects with international financial institutions are in the planning stations, including 16 projects involving the country’s biggest creditors - the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for $2.2 billion.
Ukraine has received $4.41 billion from the International Monetary Fund, $4.5 billion from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and $667 million from the International Finance Corporation since it began working with these organizations. The EBRD has invested about €2.8 billion ($3.8 billion) in Ukraine and the Black Sea Bank for Trade and Development has invested about $100 million. (ukrainianjournal.com)
