Net FDI into Bulgaria trebles on year in Jan-Apr

The net inflow of foreign direct investment (FDI) into Bulgaria expanded to some EUR 653.2 million in the first four months of 2022 from EUR 196.8 million in the same period of the last year, the central bank said on Friday.
For the second month straight, the Netherlands contributed to the largest net FDI inflow into Bulgaria in the review period, of EUR 485.8 million.
In April alone, FDI in Bulgaria dropped by EUR 229.8 million, according to the preliminary data, compared with a decline of EUR 47.3 million in the same month of 2021.
