The government has purchased a seven-story building near Trafalgar Square that will become the Hungarian House in London, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

The Hungarian House in London will host weekend Hungarian classes, theatre performances, exhibitions, and presentations for local Hungarian residents, Szijjártó said.

It will become a "meeting place" for the Hungarians living, working, and studying in the United Kingdom, he added.

The Hungarian House will open "after a few months", following a renovation that is underway, he said.
