Bulgaria trade gap narrows in December

Bulgaria's trade gap narrowed to BGN 726.5 million (EUR 371.45 million), in December 2020 compared to BGN 1.3 billion in the same month of 2019, as exports rose by 5.6% to BGN 4.4 billion, whereas imports fell 6.2% to some BGN 5.2 billion, figures from the country's statistics institute showed on Wednesday.
For the full-year of 2020, trade deficit decreased to some BGN 5.2 billion (EUR 2.7 billion), compared to a gap of BGN 7.5 billion in 2019, the Sofia-based statistical office said, citing preliminary data.
