Atomenergoprom to acquire majority stake in Hungary’s Ganz Energetika

Russia’s OAO Atomenergoprom, a state-owned holding company for Russia’s nuclear power industry, has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire a 51% stake in Hungarian cooling pump maker Ganz Energetika, Hungarian online business news source portfolio.hu reported on Wednesday, citing an announcement by Atomenergoprom.
New Russian orders are expected to cause Ganz Energetika’s revenue to double to nearly €20 million, Atomenergoprom said. OAO Atomenergoprom is a unit of Rosatom, which plans to spend €300 million this year to acquire Russian and European companies that supply equipment for the construction of nuclear power plants.
