Albania opens new tender for construction of airport in Saranda

World

The Albanian Infrastructure Ministry said it has launched a new tender for the design, construction, operation, maintenance and transfer of a EUR 34.32 million airport in Saranda, in the southern part of the country, after the first tender was canceled earlier this month, according to a report by Seenews.

The construction works will be financed through private investment, the infrastructure ministry said in a tender notice published on Tuesday by the public procurement agency.

The duration of the contract will be 35 years. Candidates can submit their offers until November 26. Albania cancelled the first tender for offers for the construction of the new airport because it attracted no bidders, local news portal Exit reported.
