Report: Bell meets PM Orbán

Visits

U.S. ambassador to Hungary Colleen Bell reportedly met Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán yesterday evening at a dinner party at film producer Andy Vajna’s house held in honor of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Hungarian daily origo.hu reported citing unnamed sources.

The meeting was only symbolic in nature as ambassadors to Hungary are required to stay in contact with the President and Prime Minister of Hungary but are not required to meet them.

During private talks with journalists earlier, Orbán reportedly said that he anticipates that Hungarian-American diplomatic relations will improve, and praised Bell’s work in this regard.
