PM: Fidesz has its 'third win'
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán rejoiced in the success of his ruling Fidesz party in municipal elections around the country last night. The party won in 22 of Hungary's 23 major cities.
"With our success in the local elections, we have our third win," while in Budapest "we have more than a two-thirds majority," said Orbán, who is also the leader of Fidesz, following the release of preliminary results yesterday evening.
"Cohesion, cooperation and unity have won the day", Orbán said, adding that "animosity, division, cynicism and hopelessness have been defeated [...] We will make Hungary great in the next four years."
