Orbán sees Hungary’s economy leading the region

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán expects Hungary’s economy to expand 1% this year and prior to next year’s general elections be the leading state in the region. As he told a group of Christian intellectuals at an event in Győr, the government is launching a demographic initiative in the second half of the year depending on economic growth to encourage young parents to have more children. Hungary’s economy ended 2012 in recession and there are doubts whether it could come out of it this year.
