Pablo Casado, the leader of the Spanish Peopleʼs Party, initiated a telephone call with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the leader of Fidesz, yesterday afternoon, discussing the Venezuela crisis, with the Prime Minister declaring support for Juan Guaidó, the Prime Ministerʼs press chief Bertalan Havasi told MTI.

Havasi added that as members of the European Peopleʼs Party, both sides fully agreed on the subject, with Orbán saying that he shares the position of the Spanish Peopleʼs Party.

According to the agreed stance, "President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro must immediately step down and the European countries must recognize Juan Guaidó as interim president," Havasi added.
