Hungary needs an additional 6,500 truck drivers
Approximately 6,500 truck drivers are needed to fill employment demands in the Hungarian market, a survey of the country’s road haulage companies by professional associations MKFE and NiT reveals, according to Hungarian daily Napi Gazdaság.
In its report yesterday, the paper cited MKFE chairman György Wáberer, the owner of Hungarian haulage company Waberer’s, who said the association aims to raise the road haulage businessʼs contribution to GDP by 50% in just a few years. The Hungarian news agency noted that Wáberer was recently named the prime ministerʼs commissioner for road haulage and logistics developments.
