Hungary farm minister holds talks in Kazakhstan

Rural Development Minister Sándor Fazekas met with representatives of the Kazakhstani government to discuss cooperation in the areas of seed production as well as the raising and breeding of beef cattle in the capital Astana on Tuesday, the ministry's press office told MTI on Wednesday.
Fazekas met with environmental minister Nurgali Ashim and farm minister Asiljan Mamitbekov before a meeting of environmental ministers from across Europe. Fazekas will meet with Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov on Thursday.
Kazakhstan wants Hungary's help to bring its organic products to European markets, the ministry said. The Kazakh government has promised to ensure the necessary regulatory conditions for Hungarian companies to do business and establish joint ventures in the country, it added.
Fazekas recommended the help of Hungarian experts to advise on irrigation technology in the south of Kazakhstan.
