French President to visit Russia October 9-10

French President Nicolas Sarkozy will make a working visit to Russia October 9-10, the Kremlin press service said Friday.

Sarkozy will make his first visit to Russia after being elected French President in May 2007, on the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Preparatory talks were held during the visit by French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner to Moscow on September 17-18. The two presidents earlier met during the G8 summit in the German sea resort of Heiligendamm. (rian.ru)
