Committees okay appointment of national development minister

Parliament’s Economic and IT Committee and Local Council and Regional Development Committee approved at a joint session on Thursday Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s Wednesday appointment of Zsuzsanna Nemeth to serve as the government’s new national development minister beginning on January 1.
The prime minister appointed Mrs. Nemeth to become national development minister in place of Tamas Fellegi, who resigned from the post earlier in December to focus as minister without portfolio on his role as leader of Hungary’s delegation in talks with the International Monetary Fund and the European Commission regarding a financial-assistance package.
