Szijjártó talks cooperation agreements with Montenegro
Foreign Trade State Secretary Péter Szijjártó discussed issues related to bilateral economic and transportation cooperation during a Thursday meeting with the Sustainable Development and Tourism Minister Branimir Gvozdenović of Montenegro, Szijjártó’s press secretary, Éva Varga, told MTI yesterday
Varga said that Szijjártó and Gvozdenović had discussed the establishment next summer of a direct railway connection between Budapest and the Adriatic seaport of Bar, Montenegro. They plan joint talks aimed at gaining Chinese developmental funding for this project.
The ministers also dealt with the participation of the state-owned Hungarian Electricity Works (MVM) in the modernization and expansion of Montenegro’s electrical-power system, and with bilateral energy, environmental-protection, and transportation cooperation.
