Szijjártó said Hungary will urge a speedy ratification of the European Union – Central America association agreement, MTI reported. The Hungarian foreign minister and his Costa Rican counterpart reportedly agreed to sign a comprehensive intergovernmental agreement to develop economic and educational cooperation.
Corona and Szijjártó reportedly discussed options for the repayment of Cubaʼs debt to Hungary and the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Tradeʼs support for Hungarian companiesʼ participation at an international trade fair in Havana, MTI said. The two sides agreed that their mutual membership in the International Investment Bank provides a good basis for economic cooperation and the financing of future joint investments, MTI added.
