Hungary will temporarily move its Ukrainian embassy from Kyiv to Lviv, in the west of the country, in light of the deteriorating security situation, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said on Thursday, according to a report by news agency MTI.
Szijjártó said the embassy in Lviv will operate with a reduced staff. The embassy staff will return to Kyiv "when security circumstances allow", he added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said 20 people, including 13 Hungarian diplomats and their family members, three security officials, three members of an Austrian family, and one French national, were recently evacuated in a convoy from Kyiv.
