Orbán Congratulates New British PM Sunak

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has congratulated his new British counterpart, Rishi Sunak, in a letter, the PM's press chief said late Monday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Orbán pointed to "outstanding" bilateral ties between Hungary and the United Kingdom, "based on mutual respect, shared values, common interests, and deep-rooted historical links", and reaffirmed Hungary's commitment to strengthening those ties further.
He also pledged to build a "strong and mutually beneficial" cooperation between the United Kingdom and the European Union
