Officials: EU investment plan should support university-business partnerships
Tibor Navracsics, European commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport from Hungary, and Jyrki Katainen, the ECʼs Vice-President for Jobs, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness from Finland, agreed in Budapest today that the European Unionʼs €300 bln investment plan announced last November should be used to support innovative research projects based on partnerships between universities, research institutes and the business sector.
Katainen is visiting the capital in the framework of a roadshow to popularize the EUʼs investment plan and the new opportunities it would open to governments, investors, companies, regional authorities and other communities.
