Official talks between Hungary and IMF/EU still set to begin in January, EC spokesman says

Official negotiations between Hungary and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union (EU) regarding a financial-assistance package for the country are scheduled to begin in January, European Commission (EC) Spokesman Olivier Bailly confirmed on Thursday, MTI’s Brussels correspondent reported.
Mr Bailly noted that informal talks between Hungary and the IMF and the EU regarding the package had broken off last week as a result of disagreement regarding the country’s financial-stability and central-bank bills
