Ministry: National mobile payment system complies with EU rules

The European Commission sent Hungary an opinion on the matter in July. EC asked Hungary to respect EU rules on the freedom of establishment and free provision of services regarding mobile payments. The exclusivity granted to state-owned national mobile payment company Nemzeti Mobilfizetési unnecessarily restricts access to the market, EC warned.
