Minister: Serbia key partner for Hungary

According to Hungary’s Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas, Serbia is a key partner for Hungary in the western Balkans with regard to farming and agriculture, Fazekas told Hungarian news agency MTI yesterday, following talks with his Serbian counterpart Snezana Bobosavljevic-Boskovic in Budapest.
The topics on the agenda included Serbia's EU accession, Hungary's land law, subsidies for small producers and genetically modified organisms (GMOs), Fazekas said, expressing hope that Serbia would utilize Hungary's experience in anti-GMO legislation. The parties both agreed on further cooperation in veterinary health, the development of institutional systems and the drawing of EU support.
