KSH: Hungary’s PPI drops 0.8% in August

Hungary’s industrial producer prices saw a year-on-year drop of 0.8% in August, with domestic prices falling 3.2% and export prices rising 0.5%, Hungary’s Central Statistical Office said today.
Prices in manufacturing fell by 4.2% and prices in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply, representing significant weight, by 1.8%, KSH data reveals.
In terms of domestic sales, out of the end-use groups of the producer branches of industry, prices decreased by 4.6% in energy and intermediate and by 0.4% in consumer goods producer branches and went up by 1.9% in capital goods producer branches, KSH added.
Within export prices, manufacturing prices also dropped by 0.5% on average and prices in electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioning supply by 0.4%, KSH reported.
