Hungary will reopen its internal Schengen borders from June 24, unless the pandemic takes an unexpected turn for the worse, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said at the Hungarian embassy in Bratislava on Wednesday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Szijjártó said that currently only 19 border crossings between Hungary and Slovakia are operational, but if this decision is implemented, all 36 border crossings with Slovakia would open next week.
