The office aims to have a more effective influence on European legislation that impact a large part of Hungary's economy, said Parragh. The office's activities include collecting information and forwarding to its members information about EU legislation processes and on competitive possibilities.

The office will also co-ordinate with EU organisations and Hungarian MEPs. The office's tasks include lobbying to develop Hungarian SMEs, improving its environmental protection and strengthening Hungary as a regional logistics hub. (english.mti.hu)
