84% of German-Hungarian chamber members plan investments

EU

About 84% of the members of the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DUIHK) plan new investments in 2014-2020, according to a fresh survey by the body. The survey shows that almost three-fourths of these investments would create jobs.

DUIHK estimated the number of individual investments could exceed 1,700.

Almost two-thirds of the members surveyed had applied for European Union grants in the 2007-2013 EU budget period, and 60% had won funding.

Between 50% and 60% of the companies said they were satisfied with the way their applications for funding had been processed. Between 20% and 30% expressed dissatisfaction. DUIHK thus urged greater transparency in the process of evaluating applications for funding in the 2014-2020 EU budget period.
