Sándor Csányi company inaugurates HUF 3.5 bln dairy farm
Boly, a unit of food industry magnate Sándor Csányi's Bonafarm, inaugurated a HUF 3.5 billion dairy farm near Beremend (SW Hungary) on Tuesday.
Csányi, who also heads OTP Bank, Hungary's biggest commercial bank, said the Bonafarm group would build a slaughterhouse with capacity for 1m animals in the area around Pécs (SW Hungary) in the near future. A decision was also taken to establish a meat processor in Szeged (SE Hungary), he added.
In a speech at the inauguration of the farm, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán praised Csányi for his endeavors in both the banking and the farm sector. "Probably even his enemies consider him to be the most successful, most talented Hungarian businessman of the past 20-25 years," he said.
