The government established a national helpline 1357, through which donors can call to support the Bridge for Transcarpathia with HUF 500 from Saturday, government spokesperson Alexandra Szentkirályi announced in a video posted on Facebook.

Hungary wants to help Transcarpathia and the ethnic Hungarians living there, which is why the government is launching the Bridge for Transcarpathia program, Szentkirályi said.

The video also said that the government had opened an account number for donations: 11711711-22222222.
