PM wants new border protection force

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a parliamentary speech yesterday that he had instructed the Minister of the Interior to set up an entirely new police body dealing exclusively with border protection, according to business daily Világgazdaság].
Minister of the Interior Sándor Pintér will have two months to set up the new body.
Answering questions from deputies during Prime Minister's Question Time, Orbán said it is unsustainable that Hungarian soldiers should be employed in border defense instead of training while there is a war in a neighboring country.
He added that police officers serving at the border should also be relieved of their burden, as they have a lot of work to do while away from their families.
