The number of people inoculated against the coronavirus in Hungary is expected to reach 5 million - a threshold that will trigger further easing of pandemic restrictions - by May 28, Gergely Gulyás, the head of the Prime Minister's Office, said at a weekly press briefing on Thursday according to a report by state news wire MTI.
"We believe we can reach the 5 million inoculated mark by May 26, 27 or 28," Gulyás said.
He said the government would take decisions on further easing of pandemic restrictions once the 5 million threshold is reached at a cabinet meeting in the coming week, but added that wedding receptions would be allowed from May 28.
