Gov't expands investment support program by HUF 30 bln
The government is adding HUF 30 billion to its program supporting investments expanding capacity, boosting efficiency and productivity, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said in a video posted on Facebook on Wednesday.
The government program to increase competitiveness has already supported investments worth more than HUF 800 bln by Hungarian businesses, Szijjártó said.
To win the funding, companies have to agree to retain their workforce, he added.
The program was launched in April 2020.
Of the HUF 30 bln limit, funding of EUR 1.8 million can be provided per company, covering up to 20% of investment costs, the minister said. In seven counties where economic development remains below the national average, companies can receive grants covering up to one-third of investment costs, he added.
