The central government has allocated a little more than HUF 3 billion in support for the Debrecen International Airport, state news wire MTI reports, citing a resolution published in the latest issue of the official gazette Magyar Közlöny.
The resolution earmarks HUF 0.7 bln for working capital and HUF 2.4 bln for developments in the 2022 budget act "in the interest of easing the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic".
The resolution instructs the foreign minister to conduct the necessary notification procedure informing the European Commission of the state aid "to ensure support for the airport's mid-term development strategy".
