The government has earmarked HUF 3 billion for this year's summer jobs scheme in which some 25,000 students aged 16-25 years can obtain work experience and income, State Secretary Sándor Bodó of the Ministry for Innovation and Technology said, according to novekedes.hu.
Students can register to join the scheme from June 15 and can start work from July 1.
The summer jobs scheme has helped employers in farm, tourism and catering sectors, as well as municipalities, employ 210,000 students in the summer with funding of more than HUF 20 bln since 2013.
Municipal employers are eligible to 100% of the students' wages for up to two months and employers in the farm, tourism and catering sectors can receive 75% of the students' wages for up to two months.
