Gov't calls HUF 1.5 bln tender for creche development
The Finance Ministry said on Saturday that it is continuing its creche development program in 2022, and will call a tender for creche renovations and establishing new ones with an allocation of HUF 1.5 bln funding, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
Municipal councils can receive HUF 240 million for creche modernizations or expansions and HUF 672 mln for creating new creches. Applications can be submitted until the end of 2022.
The ministry said that the government has expanded available creche places by 60% in the past 10 years and by 2022 they aim to have 70,000 places. So far the government has provided HUF 5.5 bln of funding to creche renovations in 54 settlements as part of the program.
