Gov't awards subsidies to support healthcare supply self-sufficiency

Some HUF 7.4 billion in government subsidies have been awarded to five companies that are spending a combined HUF 9.4 bln on capacity investments that will boost Hungary's level of self-sufficiency in the production of medical supplies, Finance Minister Mihály Varga said, according to a report by state news wire MTI.

Mould Tech was awarded HUF 3.5 bln to support a HUF 4.5 bln investment in ventilator and disinfectant equipment production.

FF Fémfedologozó, which makes hospital cabinets, trolleys, and mobile equipment for operating theatres, got HUF 509 million for a HUF 650 mln investment in production development.

Medicor Elektronika, which makes neonatal incubators, received HUF 1 bln for a HUF 1.3 bln plant in the capital.

Thermotechnika-Crown Cool won HUF 426 mln to add a HUF 450 mln HEPA filter production line.

Florin got almost HUF 2 bln for a HUF 2.5 bln expansion of its disinfectant capacity.
