Parliament approves 2007 budget

Hungary's Parliament on Tuesday passed the main figures of the 2007 budget bill, which targets a deficit of 6.8% of gross domestic product.
MPs voted for a budget deficit of Ft 1,656.5 billion in 2007 with 196 votes for and 132 against. The gross revenue target is Ft 6,669.5 billion and expenditure is expected to total Ft 8,326 billion.
MPs will have a final vote on December 21 but now the key figures cannot be modified.
