MPs elect Ferenc Gyurcsány prime minister

Elections

The Hungarian Parliament approved the government program and elected Ferenc Gyurcsány as prime minister on Friday.

The decision was made with 206 votes for and 159 against, with no abstentions. Of the 386 MPs, 365 attended the vote.
