Rosenberger Magyarország winds up HUF 2.7 bln expansion

The Hungarian unit of German high-frequency and fiber optic connectors manufacturer Rosenberger has invested approximately HUF 2.7 bln to expand production capacity and develop technology at its unit in Jászárokszállás in eastern Hungary, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

The project, which created more than 50 jobs, was supported with a HUF 780 mln European Union and state grant, state secretary for the utilization of European Union funds Balázs Rákossy said at the closing event of the project today.

MTI noted that headcount at the plant in Jászárokszállás has increased from the initial 50 in 2002 to more than 1,400. The plant supplies parts for automotive, telecom and electronics companies including Ericsson, Alcatel, Motorola, Siemens, Huawei, Audi, BMW, VW and Daimler.
